Steve Bornhoft - Industrial Technology

  •     I teach 7th and 8th Grade Industrial Technology, Woodworking, Welding , and am Assistant Robotics Coach. I grew up in Schleswig, Iowa and attended the University of Wisconsin-Stout, I graduated in 1972 with a degree in Industrial Arts Education. I  taught in Hudson, Wisconsin, Meriden-Cleghorn, Iowa, Heron Lake-Okabena, Heron Lake-Okabena-Lakefield, Windom, Jackson County Central and Windom, Retiring in 2012.  Mr. Woelber talked me out of retirement and rejoining the HL-O Staff at present.  I also worked in private industry in construction and carpentry for six years.
        I am married to my wife Lee, who operates her Home Day Care from our home. She is also a graduate of UW-Stout. We have two children Tony, who is a Merchant Marine working on boats that haul taconite and limestone on the Great Lakes, he currently is First Assistant on the USS Wilfred Sykes. He and his wife Marie have two daughters. Our daughter Ginny works in Jackson for Accent Insuarance Recovery and is Team Leader in her division.  She and her husband Jake have two children, daughter Taylor and son Lane.
