Every parent dreads it, but knows it's bound to happen.

If your child is sick with the flu, has a cold, cough, sneezing and sniffles, please consider keeping them home.

Here are some guidlines to follow---

  • If your child has a temperature of 100 or higher, he or she should stay home for 24 hours after the temperature is normal.
  • If your child has vomiting or diarrhea, keep him or her home for 24 hours after the last episode.
  • If your child has been diagnosed with a contagious or infectious disease such as pink eye, chicken pox, etc. keep them home.
  • If your child is on antibiotics, they should be on them for at least 24 hours before coming back to school.
