Kirby's Closet Event

It’s hard to believe that 2020 has less than three months left, but Christmas is just a few short weeks away.  My husband and I started Kirby’s Closet three years ago to give children in Lakefield and surrounding communities a Merry Christmas by providing new coats, toys, and books free of charge.  Parents and legal guardians are invited to come to our Kirby’s Christmas Closet event on December 12 and choose a toy or gift plus a winter clothing item and a book for each of their children for free.

Kirby’s Christmas Closet will be held at the Immanuel Lutheran Activity Center at 620 Bush St., Lakefield MN.  Doors open at 10 am. Everyone is invited to shop with no verification or prerequisites required as we trust that everyone who attends has a real need of our assistance and is shopping for their own minor children only.

If you need a little help to make your children’s Christmases brighter, please visit us December 12.  Please share this information with anyone you know who could use our help, too.

If you would like to help our cause, please contact me using one of the methods below.  We are also looking for volunteers to help us set up and distribute items.

Kirby’s Closet is always accepting donations of new toys, coats, books, and gift items. We collect and store items all year! We also offer a free gift-wrapping service, so if you’re handy with wrapping paper and scissors, we would love if you’d share your talents with us December 12.

Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions via phone, text, or email.

Thank you for supporting Kirby’s Closet’s mission, and we hope you have a safe, healthy, and Merry Christmas!
