Danielle Mathias (Wedeking) was born and raised in Lakefield, Minnesota.  She received her K-12 Visual Arts Education degree at Minnesota State University Mankato where she graduated magna cum laude in 2010. Danielle returned to southwest Minnesota after graduating college and has been teaching grades 7-12 visual arts since 2011.  She currently teaches a variety of visual art subjects including drawing, ceramics, painting, sculpture, photography, and art history.

Recently she gave birth to her daughter Twila Moon Mathias on August 11, 2024! She loves this new journey of being a mom and loves watching Twila grow!

In her spare time, she enjoys working on her own artwork, which consists of mostly drawings. She also enjoys traveling, gardening, live music, exploring nature, reading a good book, and spending time with her three dogs (Stevie Nicks, Thelma, and Maya).
